American Road Show Catering
2003 Dodge Ram 3500 4x4 5.9 Cummins
American Road Show Catering came to us with a Dodge Ram that they wanted built for all around driving with the future of doing some major towing of some of their equipment. They also wanted it set up for long distance driving as well. First we added the K&N Stage 3 Intake System for extra air into the turbo. The next step was a 5 inch exhaust system to give the engine a little more room for the extra boost that the Bullydog triple dog downloader was going to be making. The downloader is then controlled and monitored by an outlook monitor that gives the driver on the fly adjustability of the extra horsepower. The Fass Fuel System was then added to make sure the injectors were never starved for fuel as well as giving the truck a smoother idle and an air water separator. A 6 inch suspension lift gave this truck just the right ground clearance as well as some Airlift helper bags in the rear to keep the truck level when heavily loaded. The truck was also treated with some Ranch Hand custom bumpers front and rear. This Dodge Ram also sports a built transmission with BD triple disc converter and valve body as well as a deep pan to keep it cool under heavy towing conditions. The truck also has a full navigation system and Sirius Radio to keep the driver occupied on long hauls. This was a great project truck that performs well in all situations, work or play.
2008 Jeep Wrangler
The newly styled Jeep Wrangler 4 doors are great suv's and with just a couple little tweeks they look killer. This Jeep was fitted witha 2.5 suspension lift and some Moto Metal rims with Mickey Thompson tires. The 6 cylinder is stought in stock form but to give it what ti needed to turn the new rubber we gave it a UNI chip performance tune and a 2.5 Gibson exhaust system. In order to give the motor the right air flow you got to open that intake up and get rid of that big plastic box that hides you air filter. We then added a K&N cold air induction kit with a mega cone open element air filter witch worked great with are other components. This jeep turned out great and has a great sound, and with the 40 extra horse power and more low end torque it performs awesome and drives totally different. The throttle response and passing power were a great improvement and the fuel economy was better than to be expected.
2005 Ford 350 4x4 6.0 Diesel
Yes we work on Fords too, we are not biased by any means and when this customer brought us his Ford 350 6.0 diesel and wanted a little more giddee up...we knew just what to do. The first item to be installed was a BullyDog RFI intake to let the 6.0 diesel breathe a little easier and bring down those egt temperatures under heavy loads. The next thing we did was to add a full 4 inch stainless exhaust system to aid in letting the exhaust exit with a lot more ease than stock. Now that the truck had a little more breathing room it was time to add some more power and we did this by running a BullyDog power pup downloader which added about another 100 horsepower and really let the motor run smooth. The most important thing when you start modifying is to watch your levels, and we did this by adding a set of gauges that monitored our boost, egt, and volts. This truck ran great and with the options that the BullyDog downloaders give you of race, performance, and economy it was hard not to have it turned up all the way all the time. We also picked up about 5 more miles per gallon on the economy setting. The Ford transmissions are electronically controlled and Bully Dog also with the downloader lets you firm up the shift points and it really makes a difference when you get on it. Now this customers got a truck that can burn the tires and still pull trailers like it's supposed to all with the push of a couple of buttons.
2004 Chevrolet 1500 Silverado
This 5.3 v8 Chevrolet was just begging for some upgrades. The owner of this truck drives it cross country for work on a regular basis and had some very specific needs in mind. The fuel mileage was very important so we started with a K&N cold air intake kit and a Gibson 2.5 cat back exhaust system to let the motor breathe in and out a lot easier. The 5.3 v8 reacted very well to these upgrades with better throttle response and some more low end torque as well as a nice throaty exhaust note. The idea was to get better fuel economy but the customer wanted to make it more fun to drive too. We got about 3 to 4 miles to the gallon better then before and had some more power at the same time. The Westin side steps and front bull bar with Hella off road lights were added for some style and better visibility for night time driving. Recon LED taillights and 3rd brake light were also installed to a give clean look to the rear. A skull grille insert backlit with a blue LED light were added just for fun as well a separate switches inside to control the different lights. The customer was happy to have more power better fuel economy and a little of his own personality to his truck.
